why do I do this?

Well, basically I have to. When inspiration comes the ideas won't go away until I do them. It's like a person tapping on my shoulder saying "hey, don't forget to make that thing I told you about. Why aren't you doing it?"

It may sound odd but if you're a creative person you probably know what I'm talking about. When I'm inspired it's like I'm transcribing something that already exists, not creating it for the first time. So I try to be as open as I can, learn all I can, and follow the inspiration where it leads.

Graphic design is very important to me. It's art, but the difference is that it has a purpose. Fine art doesn't require a purpose like design does. I appreciate the added challenge. It's hard to be fulfilled creatively and serve that purpose.

When I'm starting a project I always say to myself "There are no rules. Now, here are he rules." They don't exist, but we can make them up as we go.
